Sam is the President of Y Combinator and co-chairman of OpenAI.

Previously Sam co-founded Loopt, and was part of the first batch of Y Combinator in the Summer of 2005. Loopt was acquired by Green Dot in 2012 and Sam has been investing and advising startups ever since.
